The First Men in the Moon

Synopsis

Upon meeting cavor, a physicist, bedford, the narrator, becomes deeply intrigued by cavors work on a substance that will make spaceflight a reality. The two men design and build a spherical spaceship and upon its completion, shoot off into space to be the first men to visit the moon. There they find a desolate wasteland at least until the lunar day begins classics illustrated tells this wonderful tale in colourful comic strip form, offering an excellent introduction for younger readers.
