Synopsis
An unnamed prisoner, condemned by the ominous judges of the spanish inquisition, awakens to find himself in a chamber designed for ingenious, psychological torment. His subsequent torture is presented in harrowing detail, as he faces the horrifying specter of the vast, terrifying pit and the slow, inexorable descent of a razor-sharp pendulum. Every perceived escape leads only to a greater peril, as the cell itself becomes a machine engineered to break the body and the mind.
